Master Road · Essentials
Read what the board already shows.
Six lessons. Find the scene, both sides, the role you care about, and the change already moving through it.
Lesson 01 · Essentials
Read the Board
Find the present scene, the line now moving, and the direction that movement may open.
A finished Hex Board can look crowded, but you do not need to understand everything at once. We begin with the three things every reading needs: the present scene, the line now changing, and the direction that change may open. This lesson shows you exactly where to find all three.

Find three landmarks.
Original Hexagram. Moving Line. Changed Hexagram.
The Hex Board contains far more than you need today. Ignore the other labels for now. First learn where the scene is, what is moving, and where that movement may lead.
You do not need to build the chart by hand. Enter the cast time and your six lines; the rest is already placed for you. The left side is the present. The marked line is what is changing. The right side is one possible trend.
The same structure on the real board
Original → Moving → Changed
The full board has more labels, but these three landmarks never change.
Read all six lines on the left. The marked line is still part of the present scene.
The mark after the line shows exactly where the Original Hexagram is changing.
Read all six lines on the right as one direction the active change may open.
Keep the Original underneath every detail.
For this lesson, find the Original, the movement, and the Changed Hexagram. Nothing else yet.
The Original Hexagram always comes first. It describes the present field you are actually in. The Changed Hexagram shows only one direction that may develop from the current movement. When the labels feel crowded, return here: read the present first, find what is changing, then check the possible trend.
The budget question reaches Line 4.
You ask whether the project budget will stay under control. 30 · Clinging is the present scene. Line 4 is marked, so that is where the scene is changing. 22 · Grace is the direction now opening—not a fixed result.
Check what you can read.
Answer in one sentence, then open the row.
1Where do you read the present situation?Check
In the Original Hexagram on the left.
2Which part deserves attention first?Check
The marked Moving Line. It names the part actively changing.
3Does the Changed Hexagram guarantee an outcome?Check
No. It shows one possible trend now forming, not an unavoidable ending.
